In the wake of the &#8220;spatial turn&#8221;, starting from the observation that space and culture are inextricably linked, they question the interactions between a specific object and its environment, from the dynamic point of view of the transformations that affect it on the occasion of a temporary transfer or a more durable implantation in a new and heterogeneous space.<\/p>\n<p>The work on the circulation of ideas between Asia and the West is currently undergoing a wide-ranging revival that calls into question the notion of unilateral influences and posits the transfer as a recreation. However, despite some pioneering work, the question of the transculturation of practices and objects remains relatively unaddressed by Asian studies in Western languages in the literary and artistic fields. In particular, from an intra-Asian perspective (displacement across borders or inscription in a different socio-cultural environment of the same society), on the one hand, and from an approach oriented towards formal questions, on the other. How are forms affected by the host environment? What functions are they invested with? What do they share in common with the previous context? These are some of the questions investigated.<\/p>\n<p>The temporal referent is open: historical or current, diachronic or synchronic. So is the field of the notions of &#8220;practices&#8221; (custom\/craft\/technique\/productive activity\/etc.), &#8220;objects&#8221; (material\/immaterial), &#8220;culture&#8221; (scholarly\/popular\/etc.), and &#8220;space&#8221; (environment\/society\/etc.).
