D2iA (Asian Dynamics, Interactions, Interculturality) is a joint initiative of Bordeaux Montaigne University and La Rochelle University. The team brings together researchers from the South-West of France in three trans-disciplinary and trans-area research axes analyzing Asian dynamics and interactions. Asia is understood in the broad sense of the continent, excluding the Near and Middle East. Team members come from various fields of the Humanities and Social Sciences. Their work focuses on the modern and contemporary periods, but is not exclusive. D2iA is a member of the francophone network Groupement d’Intérêt Scientifique (GIS) Asie.
